I Couldn't See But
by Vanessa Raney

I say trust in God God as the mountain that I pass each day sometimes cast in cosmic pink the deep red tones or purple, mostly solid though can a thing invisible be made visible? the day I anticipated the mountain I couldn’t see but I willed into being a faint trace followed its outline and as the clouds shifted I saw something of the mountain enough to believe but God is visible in the everyday things we move so fast we forget to anticipate what looks intangible is really, substantial Two days later the mountain returned; if we stop anticipating and will the shape of things already here we could see clearly. So I trust.
