About the Contributors

Riccardo Giovanni was born in Rome in 1969 and spent his early years in Milan and Nice. He received
undergraduate and graduate degrees in Boston. In addition to poetry, he has also explored the media of
photography, finding success in a number of solo gallery exhibitions. He currently divides his time between the mountains of western Panamá and Rio De Janeiro. Sean Richard Deardorff writes: "Aside from writing for love and sanity, I write in hopes that my message,
if it is heard, is clearly conveyed. Though I hope the general idea gets across accurately while holding the
listener's/reader's attention, I also hope it lends enough freedom for them to apply it to their own experiences." Rebecca Schulthess currently resides in Central Wisconsin. "I have been writing poetry for 15 years. Most
of my early poems I threw away, as they were used as a healing tool or for venting. The poems I write are
of venting or expressing thoughts I cannot speak. My poems fall in each end of the spectrum - some uplifting,
some depressing - but all of them come from the heart." Bentley Snow Davis lives, writes, teaches, and loves in a small town on Maine's coast. "I believe that poetry
and spirituality are both intensely personal while also managing to bridge differences between each of us.
They serve to build community while maintaining individuality." Linda L. Bielowski's poems are examples of Eintou poetry, a traditional African form that reflects cultural
beliefs and philosophies. Such poems conform to a seven line stanza style with the syllabic meter of:
2-4-6-8-6-4-2. Linda is a practicing psychotherapist and certified pastoral counselor. After a long hiatus, she
returned to creative writing through her experiences facilitating a spirituality group and through the support she
received during a poetry exhibition at the University of Chicago. "My work derives from a spiritual/psychological
base; and, delves into our interior selves to unravel the deeper issues intrinsic to the human condition." Linda's
work has appeared in numerous journals, including Poetic Hours, Muse Apprentice Guild, and, SubtleTea.
Spirit Echoes, her first poetry collection, was recently published.
