The Bible is where I Leech
by Larry Johnson
Confused! Torn between two lives. Right ? Wrong?
Which do I fight? Help myself? Help others?
Baffled unguided, mind in the gutter! Left ? Right? Detours all around.
No sign of resolution! No feel of even ground!
Perplexing, mind bending! So distraught! A mouse trapped inside of a maze!
Seems that I have forgot. Up? Down? Who's to say?
Chaos an anxiety, hopefully just a phase! Who do I call to?
Where do I run? Think, think, I know the one!
I'll fall to my knees, do as I've been told! Ask God for forgiveness,
A way from this hole! Repent! Let him know a sheep has went astray!
Dark, dismal nights on my knees I'll stay
Praying to the Lord for this is the only way!
Hoorah! Hoorah! Awaken a new day!
Temptation no longer! Sunshine not somber.
Peace within ones self, mans most enjoyable wealth!
Dismal days, but it never storms! The only rain is to even the warm!
The title to this piece 'A Bible is where I Leech'
Happiness and joy was all in arms reach!
