Existence
by Vaibhav Madhok

My existence is a river.
It has a source...
Where I was born - a tiny stream

A tiny stream
It flows in the present,
Along the way it nurtures-
It nurtures plants,
It nurtures animals,
It nurtures civilizations and empires
It nurtures Life
It nurtures Death
Beside its two banks.

Besides its two banks are-
The past and the future,
They never meet, They never merge,
Till I die

Till I die
The river, the banks merge in the ocean
Yet the water exists
I merge with the Almighty,
The past, present and the future merge
Yet I exist.
I rise again and through rain
I come again.

I come again,
To my source.
