Who Am I
by Vaibhav Madhok

I climb the ladder of my consciousness
And go to the roof and ask
But who am I?
I feel the cool breeze of your love
But seek who am I?
The more I search, the more I feel your need
As the 'I' melts away slowly….
I know who I am not
But yet to know who am I?

From the author: This is the process of meditation/self realization described by the ancient Indian saints, Sufis like Kabir, through which one's spiritual journey starts. One goes higher in consciousness one can feel the divine cool breeze-the love of the almighty described as Kundalini in Hinduism, the Holy Ghost in Christianity and the Ruh in Islam. The melting of 'I' is the melting of ego and one gets connected to the divine.
