I do hope that you come back
to your rightful place
 
Please
I hope you come to your senses
so that you can be what I always believed you could be

Despite your worst qualities
Despite your madness
Despite how much you have changed

 I still believe in you

Shadi Hamid is currently studying at the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. He is currently serving as Chair of the Political Action Task Force for the Muslim Students Association of the US and Canada (MSA-National). He is also freelance writer and poet. His articles have been published in more than 15 different print and online publications.
