Measured Soul
by Leslie ("Astute Idiot")

To measure a soul may seem absurd
to the faithless who will not trust.
A measurement to what?
One's soul cannot be touched!

Think of times when life felt bleak.
The hopeless souls,
what do they weigh?
The heavy burdened souls,
do they weigh more?

Carry a load of secrets, of worry;
weigh yourself, do you weigh more?
Tell a friend, find one to trust.
Weigh yourself, you will be lighter.

Measure your impressions on others.
Precision is unecessary.
You will leave a part of yourself,
once you are gone.
You touch another, with your soul.
Your soul is never gone.
